1652 Massachusetts Pine Tree Shilling Noe-16 Rarity-2 PCGS Genuine, VF Details, Damage or Tooling. Small Planchet type. Frosty medium gray with lighter steel toning covering the devices. Nicely centered on the planchet, but the opposing tops on both sides were weakly struck, and those areas show several old, light scratches. Additional scratches are visible under magnification, but they are not distracting. The Pine Tree, date, and denomination are all clear. The legends are complete except for those few letters affected by the weak strike at the top of both sides. Our grade is VF25 net F15+. Listed on page 39 in the "Redbook."
