1838 N-6 R1 AU55. Frosty tan and light brown with slightly darker steel brown toning on the highpoints. Looks mint state. The only mark is a small spot of darker toning between stars 3 & 4. Sharply struck EDS with the dentils extending strongly onto the rim at stars 10-13, a curious condition that we have yet to explain.
Estimated Value $200-UP.
Ex The Charmont Sale (MBS), Steve Ivy Numismatic Auctions, 8/14/1983:1198-Carvin Goodridge collection (lot ticket included).
