Great Britain. Angel, ND. S.2265; North-1760; Fr-155. Henry VIII, 1509-1547. First coinage (1509-1526). Mint mark, castle. 5.17 grams. Obverse: St. Michael slaying the dragon. Reverse: Ship bearing shield and cross, h and rose at sides. Nicely struck with a pleasing original sheen. Good portrait, sharp lettering. Mint state. A different mint mark from the other Henry VIII Angel in this sale, it is very rare to find two similar coins of such great calibre side by side. NGC graded MS-63.
