1817 Struck Copy from Handmade Dies VG7. Glossy chocolate brown. The strike is uneven, stronger on the right half of both sides. The date is weak but readable. A very interesting copy, similar in execution to the famous (and very expensive) 1848 Small Date cent. This copy was missing from the Dan Holmes collection. Diameter 29.0 millimeters, weight 173.7 grains. Worth a close look.
