Claudius, AD 41-54. Bronze Sestertius (28.60g). Mint of Rome, AD 50. Laureate head of Claudius facing right. Reverse: Spes, draped, advancing left, holding flower and raising skirt. RIC 115. Well centered on a huge medallic size flan (38 mm). Some smoothing in the fields. Pleasing glossy reddish-brown patina. Sharpness of Choice Very Fine.
