Bar Kochba Revolt, 132-135 CE. Silver Zuz (3.17g). Hybrid issue dated Year One and Year Two (132/33 CE). "Shim" the letters in a triangle, in a wreath of thin branches wraped around eight almonds, medallion at top, tendrils at bottom. Reverse: "Eleazar the priest"; Fluted jug, handle on left with willow branch on right. Hendin 1384; Mild. 3. Attractively toned and Very Rare. Choice Very Fine.

The abbreviation in the obverse legend of "Shim" has been proposed as a dual meaning as the first three letters of Bar Kochba's first name Simon as well as the first word of the prayer, the Shema, which is believed to be the rallying cry of Simon Bar Kochba.
