Sicily, Syracuse, 317-310 BC. Silver Stater (8.5g). AR Stater of the Corinthian type (10 litrai). Head of Athena right, wearing Corinthian helmet, decorated with griffin. Reverse: ΣYPAKOΣIΩN. Pegasos flying left, triskeles below. R. Calciati Period II, 9/7. Delicately toned. Extremely Fine.

This issue breaks with earlier issues and Pegasos is relegated to the reverse side of the coin.
