Lot 3072

1936-D Cincinnati Music Center Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-66. CAC Approved. Lovely light toning. These received a large amount of speculative interest leading up to their release. By the time sales were held, the price had risen to $15 per coin (an unheard of premium for a 1930s era commemorative half dollar). But the boom faded by 1937 and prices declined to more favorable levels for those who weren't able to acquire specimens at the time of release. Always a popular, low-mintage item for the Commemorative buyer. Pop 308; 54 finer (PCGS # 9284) .
Estimated Value $550 - 600.

Realized $834
