1881-CC Morgan Dollar. PCGS graded MS-62. Frosty and white with reflective fields, possibly one of the earlier strikes from new dies before the reflective surface off the dies abraded to what becomes frosted luster on later impressions. (All new dies are given one last mirror polish before being inserted into the coining press. After about 50 or 100 impressions, the mirror finish wears off from the abrasion of the silver planchets rubbing against it.) (PCGS # 7126) .
