1880 Morgan Dollar. PCGS graded Proof 66+ Cameo PQ CAC Approved. Only 1,355 minted. A white gem. A gorgeous Gem that has a rigorous strike and silvery white perfection throughout. The surfaces are virtually pristine, while the cameo contrast is also very pleasing. Probably a good many are not as carefully made as this enviable piece, with no suggestion or even a whisper of weakness at the main devices or legends. The immense popularity of the Morgan Dollar series increases the demand for Gem proofs, which are nearly always more elusive than the matching business strike issue.
