1909-D $5 Indian. NGC graded MS-63. Nice and frosty, a common date issue which is always sought after by those wishing to acquire a representative Indian Head five-dollar gold piece of this design. Issued from 1908 to 1929. The dies imparted the design in an unusual sunken relief format, seen on this design for the first time in American history (PCGS # 8514) .
