Nine early covers (+ 1 card) commemorating early Soviet achievements in space., German and Russian covers commemorating Russian space achievements including Sputnick-1, Sputnick-3, Research Rocket #7 which carried dogs Belyanka and Pestraya, Korable-II which carried dogs Strelka and Belka, Korable-III which carried dogs Pehelka and Mushka (who unfortunately both perished during reentry), Korable IV which carried a dummy Cosmonaut and a dog (Zvezdochka). All covers have attractive and descriptive cachets and are postmarked at least once. Several have multiple cancellations.
