14 Shuttle Flight Crew Original Color Negatives plus 6 more – All 4x5 "Outtakes"., Shuttle flight crews have an official crew portrait. Some are serious some not. Included in this lot are 14 flight crew negatives. Also included are 3 outtake negatives of married astronauts "Hoot" Gibson and Rhea Seddon standing with a model of the shuttle and 3 outtakes of J.S.C. Director and former Apollo flight director, Gerard Griffin. Making a total of 20 4x5" negatives. The official crew portraits include those for STS 1-2-3-4 in one photo, STS-6, Serious (3x) + STS-6 in their "F Troup" uniforms (3x), STS-7, STS-51G (original crew, 3x), STS-51G (crew that flew). Keep in mind each negative is unique. These photography sessions take about 4 hours. Various views and positions are photographed. After the photographic team and crew review the best images, proofs are printed and then the "Official Crew Portrait" is selected. Finally the rest of the scenes are discarded (many due to some slight defect such as closed eyes, shadows, etc.). These original crew negatives were rejected – as such each is totally unique.
