Lot 75

1810/09 S-281 R1 Turban Head, Overdate 10 over 09. PCGS graded AU-55. Glossy reddish light brown and steel with splashes of darker steel and olive on the obverse. A tiny depression at the dentils tips under the 8 is the only mark. A nice cent, but the uneven toning on the obverse is a bit of a distraction. Sharply struck E-MDS, Breen state II. The overdate is clear and the dentils are complete around both sides. Called VF35 by Noyes, photo #39825. Our grade is EF40. The attribution and Paul Gerrie provenance are shown on the PCGS label. Pop 1; the Finest graded at PCGS .
Estimated Value $3,000-UP.
