1808 S-278 R3 Turban Head. PCGS graded MS-62 Brown. Lustrous steel brown fading to bluish steel in protected areas. A shallow planchet flake on star 6 is the only obvious defect (as struck, but there are smaller flakes at the adjacent stars. A tiny pit or void under the R in AMERICA can also help identify this cent. MDS. The dies are worn but there are no rim cuds visible on either side. Graded MS60 net AU55 for the planchet flaws and tied for CC#10 in the Noyes census, photo #31416. Called MS60 and tied for CC#7 honors in the Bland/Breen census. Our grade is MS60 net AU58+.
