1803 S-247 R3 Mumps Obverse. PCGS graded AU-55. CAC Approved. Glossy steel and olive brown with frosty lighter steel brown toning in the protected areas. Only a few trivial contact marks, none notable. A tiny planchet flake close over the hair ribbon is a good identifying mark. EDS, Breen state I, prior to any die cracks on the reverse. The "Mumps" lump at the throat is clear. Called EF40 and tied for CC#5 in the Noyes census, photo #39584. Our grade is EF45. The attribution and Paul Gerrie provenance are shown on the PCGS label. Pop 1; 1 finer in 58.
