1802 S-228 R2 Error Fraction 1/000. PCGS graded AU-50. Glossy reddish steel brown and chocolate blending to olive brown. A small oval-shaped planchet flake in the field over the bust tip is the most noticeable mark, but there are a few trivial nicks on both sides as well. E-MDS, Breen state II, with a crack from the dentils through the D in UNITED and die clashmarks at STA. Graded EF40 and tied for CC#8 by Noyes, photo #38431. Our grade is EF40. The attribution and Paul Gerrie provenance are shown on the PCGS label. Pop 4; 1 finer in 53.
