1793 S-11c R3- Wreath Cent with Lettered Edge and Single Leaf. PCGS graded AU-50. Glossy medium brown and light chocolate mixed with small streaks of lighter brown toning on the obverse. Smooth, free of any trace of corrosion or planchet defects. Just a few small contact marks, including a rim nick over the R in LIBERTY, another right of the fraction, and a couple nicks at ENT. LDS, Breen state IV. The strong die clashmarks have been polished off the obverse die and the profile of Ms Liberty is less well defined than it was in the early die state. Nicely centered on the planchet. An attractive, well-balanced example of the Lettered Edge with Single Leaf following DOLLAR version of the Wreath Cent. Our grade is VF25.
