China. Order of Freedom and Independence Medal (3rd Level). In February 12th, 1955, Chairman Mao signed a Presidential decree for issuing Orders to award military officers who served in the army during the Anti-Japanese War (1937-1945, namely World War II in Asian battlefield). The order was named "Order of Freedom and Independence" after the discussion in the seventh meeting of the first session of the National People's Congress Standing Committee. The 3rd level of Order of Freedom and Independence was issued to military officers ranked from company level to battalion level.
The Order of Freedom and Independence was said to be the most "serious" orders in the history of People's Republic of China (since 1949), which means each officer who was issued this order was archived with a unique number of the reverse of the medal. Therefore, the Chinese government has a regulation that this order cannot be sold in large public auctions. So it's really hard to find auction archives for this order, and people also this order will be much more valuable once the government cancelled the regulation. In original green box. Rare. Extremely Fine To Uncirculated.
Estimated Value $1,500 - 2,000.

Realized $1,725
