1847 N-18 R5 Repunched Date VF25. Sharpness EF40 but covered with tiny nicks, none significant but far too many for the sharpness grade. Frosty medium chocolate brown with traces of satiny mint luster in protected areas. Repunching shows on all 4 digits of the date, strongest on the 8 and 7. Rare LDS, die state d, with a rim cud from under the 18 to star 2 and another from star 4 to star 5. The cuds are clearly defined. Tied for CC#11 of those known in this die state according to the Grellman census.
