1847/7 N-2 R3 Large 7 over Small 7 VF30. Ten points sharper but cleaned and retoned. Glossy bluish steel and light olive brown blending to darker chocolate brown. Traces of very faded red show in some of the protected areas. No roughness or verdigris, but there are a few minor rim nicks on both sides. LDS, die state c, with die cracks at MER and ED. Repunching is clearly visible on the 1 and 47, and the top of the so-called "Small 7" is obvious above the normal 7. A popular "Redbook" die variety.
