1793 S-11a R4+ Wreath Cent with Vine & Bars Edge. PCGS graded VF-35. CAC Approved. Choice glossy chocolate and steel brown. Smooth and very attractive, virtually flawless. The eye appeal is outstanding. The surfaces are smooth and display only a few minor marks. These include a very light rim bruise under the bust tip that does not affect the border beads and a small nick under the second S in STATES. The obverse is nicely centered on the planchet while the reverse is off a bit to K-5. LDS, Breen state IV. The die clashmarks on the obverse have been polished off the die. A very attractive, problem-free mid-grade example of the Vine & Bars version of this variety. Our grade is VF20 Choice. The attribution and Paul Gerrie provenance are shown on the PCGS label.
