Michael VII Doukas, 1071-1078. Electrum Histamenon Nomisma (4.40g) minted at Constantinople. Facing nimbate bust of Christ Pantokrator, raising hand in benediction and holding book of Gospels. Reverse: Crowned facing bust of Michael VII, wearing jeweled chlamys, holding labarum and globus cruciger. D.O. 2d; S.1868. Excellent detail throughout. A few old test scratches in the margins. Extremely Fine.
