Septimius Severus, AD 193-211. AE 35 minted at Pompeiopolis in Cilicia. Laureate and cuirassed bust of Severus right with aegis; Π in left field; Γ in right field. Reverse: Caracalla and Geta standing facing each other and clasping hands. SNG France--; SNG Cop--; SNG v. Aulock--; SNG Levante--; BMC--, Mabbott 2207. Some old scrapes in the reverse field well concealed by the patina. Uniform, glossy, chocolate brown. Very choice for the type. Choice Very Fine. Very rare.
