Otho, AD 69. Silver Denarius minted at Rome, January-March AD 69. [IM]P M OTHO CAESAR AVG P. Bare head of Otho right sporting elaborate rows of Neronian curls. Reverse: SECVR -I-TAS P R. Securitas (Security) standing left holding wreath and scepter. Sear 2151; RIC 8, RSC 17. A few old reverse scratches and old cleaning noted. Deep violet-gray tone with iridescent hues. Choice Very Fine. Scarce.
