Celtic Coinage. Central Europe & Asia Minor. Scordisci. Silver Tetradrachm (12.64g) struck in Syrmia, ca. 3rd century BC. Dachreiter type. Laureate head right of Zeus; dotted border. Reverse: Crested head and torso left of rider on prancing horse with dotted mane; to right, anemone; below, circled pellet; dotted border. Kostial 453; Dembski --. A splendid example of this rare type. Uniform antique grey toning. Small scrape at reverse edge between forelegs of horse. Nearly Extremely Fine.
