1793 S-9 R2 Wreath Cent. PCGS graded AU-55. CAC Approved. Choice glossy steel brown and light chocolate with darker steel toning on the highpoints. Nicely struck and nearly flawless. The planchet is perfectly smooth and there are only a few minor contact marks. The notable ones are a light rim bruise left of the fraction and a pinprick just right of the second A in AMERICA. M-LDS, Breen state VII. The crack through CA in AMERICA is strong and it extends weakly through the ribbon ends and fraction to UNIT. Graded VF35 Choice and tied for CC#17 in his census, photo #62004. Our grade is VF35. The attribution and Paul Gerrie provenance are shown on the PCGS label. Pop 1; 3 finer, 2 in 58, 1 in 65+.
