1798 S-152 R2 Style I Hair, Overdate 8 over 7 F12. Sharpness VF25 but dark and covered with fine roughness. No verdigris, and the only mark is a shallow planchet void on the upper right leaves of the wreath. Slightly glossy dark steel and olive brown. LDS, Breen state IV. All the fine die cracks described by Breen are present. The date and overdate are bold and the legends are strong. Comes with a famous provenance.
