1798 S-149 R4+ Large 8, Style I Hair AG3+. Close to G4 but cleaned and retoned a rather glossy light olive and chocolate. No roughness or verdigris. A collection of short vertical scratches cover much of the 8 in the date and there are a couple hairline scratches on the reverse. The date and LIBERTY are clear but much of the reverse is unreadable due to swelling associated with the later die state, strongest at S-OF-A. M-LDS, Breen state II late.
