Lot 269

1797 S-140 R1 SEGS graded VF30. Glossy light to medium chocolate brown. The planchet is decent but not perfectly smooth showing microscopic roughness in the fields and protected areas. There is a light dusting of powdery pale green crud at the Y in LIBERTY and along the bottom edge of the reverse, perhaps removable. A dull nick on the shoulder is the only notable sign of contact. MDS, Breen state VI, with obvious swelling through the bust tip and at OF. The date and legends are strong except for weakness at OF due to the die failure in that area. Our grade is VF20 sharpness net F15.
Estimated Value $400-UP.

Realized $748
