1797 S-136 R3 VG8+. The obverse is slightly better while the reverse is a bit weaker. Attractive glossy medium chocolate brown with a hint of reddish chocolate toning around UNIT. Smooth, free of any hint of corrosion or verdigris. The only notable mark is a shallow, very dull nick or dent on the E in CENT. EDS, Breen state I (a die state called extremely rare by Breen). A minor planchet clip affects the dentils above LI in LIBERTY and at the U in UNITED. Excellent eye appeal for the grade, close to VG10.
