1796 S-91 R3 Liberty Cap F12. Clipped Planchet. Sharpness VF20 with a small patch of shallow corrosion at ER in LIBERTY and a slightly larger one above the O in ONE. There are traces of additional roughness on both sides but overall the remainder of the planchet is smooth and attractive. The only notable sign of contact is a rim bruise before the neck. Glossy light to medium chocolate brown with lighter steel brown toning on the devices. MDS, Breen state IV, with two horizontal die waves in the field before the portrait and one in the field behind. The date and legends are bold. A curved planchet clip reaches inside the dentils left of the date and the opposing ones at STA.
