1794 S-38 R5 Basal State-1. Perhaps slightly sharper but the planchet is covered with fine roughness and scratches. No verdigris. Slightly glossy chocolate and dark steel. The date is not readable and perhaps a third of the designs and legends can be made out, certainly enough to determine the Sheldon variety. The lumps in the field under the cap remain visible and the reverse is rotated 45 degrees CW.
