Lot 155
1805 C-3 R4 Small 5 with Stems AG3. Has the details of a slightly higher grade but the planchet is covered with fine roughness and myriad old scratches. Not pretty, but the date is clear and the legends are nearly all readable (most of UNITED and parts of HALF CENT being the exceptions). Slightly glossy dark olive and steel. MDS, Manley state 2.0. The swelling before the portrait is strong.
