Lot 793

STS-71 Flags - vacuum sealed for flight and likely flown. 5 flags (2 American, 3 Russian) in a vacuum sealed flight pouch with "DON PUDDY" written across the top in marker. These flags were given to Puddy by Norm Thagard in an envelope with N. Thagard written in the upper left and "Don Puddy Bld.1" below. Puddy and Thagard worked closely on the "Shuttle-MIR Docking Program". Thagard was launched on MIR 18 and retuned on the Shuttle Atlantis (7/7/95) after spending 115 days on MIR. The flags were given to Puddy upon his return and placed in his safety deposit box until recently. A consignor’s COA states that -- to the best of my knowledge these flags were carried by Norm Thagard on STS-71/Mir 18 mission.
Estimated Value $200 - 250.
Ex. The Donald Puddy Estate Collection.

Realized $132
