STS-7 Shuttle Flight Crew 4 x 5" original color negative – first woman in space – "outtake". The crew of 5 (Crippen, Hauck, Fabian, Ride, Thagard) is seated in front of a print of an old 3 masted ship under full sail. This was the first American space mission to include a woman, Sally Ride. The crew is in their NASA jump suits. Shuttle flight crews had several variations of their "Official Crew Portrait" taken, then after the final shots were selected the rest were discarded (due to slight imperfections). It is those "imperfections" that make these outtakes totally unique.
