Moshe Dayan, Yitzhak Rabin, and Uzi Narkiss. Famous 7 x 5" photo taken in 1967 after Israeli forces recaptured the Old City of Jerusalem from the Jordanian Legion during the Six Day War, signed in English and Hebrew by Dayan as Minister of Defense, Rabin as Chief of Staff, and Narkiss as Commanding General. The Lion's Gate is behind the three men as they enter the Old City to pray at the Wailing Wall. No Jews had been allowed into the city to pray there since 1948, when the Israelis lost the Old City. Dayan signed at the lower edge of the photo; Narkiss and Rabin signed just below on the pink cardstock to which the photo is mounted. A famous poster was made from this photo.
