Kushan Empire. Vima Kadphises. Circa AD 100-127/98. Gold Double Dinar (15.94 g). Diademed and crowned half-length bust of Vima Kadphises right on clouds, holding mace-scepter in right hand over shoulder; flames at shoulder, tamgha to left. Reverse: Ithyphallic Siva standing facing, head left holding trident in right hand and resting left arm on bull Nandi behind, who is standing right with head facing; Buddhist triratana ("Three Jewels") to left. Bopearachchi, Premiers, Serie X; MK 12/2 (O4/R12A); Donum Burns 77; Triton X, lot 470 (same obv. die). Well struck in high relief and extremely rare. Extremely Fine.
