Kingdom of Persis. Autophradates I, c. Late Third Century BC. AR Tetradrachm (16.66 g). Head right of Autophradates I wearing satrapal headdress. Reverse: Fire temple with Ahura-Mazda above; behind, king and attendant. Cf. BMC page 201, 3. Extremely rare. About Extremely Fine.
Reportedly the finest of only three known: one in the British Museum, one in the "Sunrise" collection and this one. Note the incused long moustache on the king's portrait.
