Pontiac, MI - Bank of Oakland. $3 Sept. 5, 1837. PCGS Fine 15 Apparent. Despite the fact that there are three $3 notes from this bank in the auction, they are quite scarce and seldom encountered. The bank opened with capital of $50,000 and only operated from 1837-38. G.O. Whittemore served as the cashier and Daniel LeRoy was president. Minor edge damage resulted in the Apparent grade for this example.
Estimated Value $150 - 250.

Realized $115
