1853 $1 Gold Liberty. NGC graded MS-64. A lovely near-gem coin that shows very few signs of contact on either side. Struck from clashed dies on the obverse, with the outline of Liberty's head visible around the wreath. Mint fresh luster, and free of the usual annoying marks on Liberty's face.
