Lot 75

1847 N-20 R3 MS60. Lustrous chocolate brown with overtones of light bluish steel and traces of faded mint color on both sides. Very nice for the grade, nearly flawless. The only defects, and they are trivial, are a tiny planchet flake on the rim over star 10 (as struck) and a spot of slightly darker toning under the ribbon loop at the bottom of the reverse. M-LDS, die state a late. The fields are covered with fine radial flowlines but most of the earlier die lines are still visible. Now housed in a PCGS MS64 BN holder. (PCGS # 37313).
Estimated Value $500-UP.
