1837 Half Cent Hard Times Token, Low-49 Rulau HT-73 R2 AU50. Choice frosty medium brown and light chocolate. Just a few trivial marks from flawless. A couple small spots of darker toning near the dentils above the eagle are the only notable defects. These tokens are the only half-cent denominated pieces struck as part of the so-called Hard Times Token series. They were not issued by the Federal government, but they are often collected as part of the Federal half cent series and are included in the "Redbook."
