Helen Kane. Seven negatives, six 8 x 10 in. and one 5 x 7 in., accompanied by positive copies of each (a positive copy is basically a xerox copy made with the sole purpose of showing what the negative images look like; photographic prints can be made from the negatives). Also included are two negative montages with 14 images; one montage plate has black tape separating the images. Helen Kane (1904-1966) was a popular singer whose signature song was "I Wanna Be Loved By You." Her voice and appearance are said to have been a likely source for the character of Betty Boop.
