Franchot Tone and Joe Frisco. Eight 10 x 8 in. negatives: two of Franchot Tone, and six of Joe Frisco, each accompanied by a positive copy (a positive copy is basically a xerox copy made with the sole purpose of showing what the negative images look like; photographic prints can be made from the negatives). Tone (1905-1968) was an American stage, film, and television actor, star of Mutiny on the Bounty (1935) and many other films through the 1960s. Frisco (1889-1958) started as as a jazz dancer, then became a popular comedian, incorporating his stuttering into his act. He made his Broadway debut in the Florenz Ziegfeld Follies in 1918 and became a mainstay on the vaudeville circuit in the 1920s and 1930s.
