Belle Baker. Seven 8 x 10 in. negatives, accompanied by a positive copy of each (a positive copy is basically a xerox copy made with the sole purpose of showing what the negative images look like; photographic prints can be made from the negatives). Baker (1893 or 95-1957) was an American singer and actress who was popular throughout the 1910s and 1920s. She introduced a number of ragtime and torch songs including Irving Berlin's "Blue Skies" and "My Yiddishe Mama."
