Puccini, Giacomo (1858-1924) Italian operatic composer. His operas, most of which had tragic love themes, include Manon Lescaut (1893), La Bohème (1896), Tosca (1900), and Madama Butterfly (1904). Autograph Letter Signed, one page, 6¾ x 5 in., Torre del Lago, Toscana, Feb. 11, 1917. Untranslated but mentioning Verdi. Archivally matted and framed with an image of Puccini to an overall size of 14 x 18¾ in.
