General Winfield Scott was the hero of Vera Cruz and General Zachary Taylor of Buena Vista. There is other extensive news on the war with Mexico; also, Indian news, runaway slaves, etc. Very fine. Housed in a custom-made folder of black buckram with burgundy spine; the name of the paper, the date, and "Battles of Vera Cruz & Buena Vista" in gilt lettering.
