Meteorite Jepara Pallasite. Pallasites are the rarest type of iron-nickel meteorite with olivine crystals interspersed inside the matrix made of iron-nickel. Jepara is an unique Pallasite with excellent clear olivine crystals but with most of the iron-nickel matrix converted to Magnetite after hundreds if not thousands of years of being buried underground after falling to Earth. A single 499 kg meteorite of nearly spherical shape heavily weathered was found deeply underground when the foundation for a large building was being dug at Jepara, Indonesia. This large 3.5 x 3.5 inch 40.2 gram section has a brown to charcoal gray color matrix similar to a stony meteorite filled with translucent clear olivine crystals. There are also small connecting sections that are still unchanged iron-nickel. This unique and valuable Pallasite comes with a 3.5 inch illusion stand.

Add $15 for domestic shipping.
Estimated Value $600 - 900.
