1806 C-4 R1 Large Repunched 6 EF40. Rotated Reverse. Ten points sharper but both sides are coated with a thin layer of lacquer or some similar protectant. Glossy steel brown and chocolate with lustrous golden tan and light brown in protected areas. A coating of lacquer often indicates a coin was retoned, but the color appears natural on this piece and it is quite attractive. Only a few trivial contact marks, including a small depression on the rim off the lower end of the hair ribbon. E-MDS, Manley state 1.0. The repunching on the 6 is clear and the reverse is rotated 35 degrees CW. Might justify a higher grade when the lacquer is removed.
Estimated Value $350-UP.
